Class Details
In this class, students will learn the art of creating a woven wall hanging, combining traditional weaving techniques with modern design. The class begins with an introduction to the basics of weaving, including setting up a loom, selecting and preparing yarn, and understanding essential weaving stitches and patterns. Students will learn how to design their pieces, incorporate color theory, and experiment with different weaving techniques, such as plain weave, rya knots, and soumak. By the end of the class, participants will have a beautiful, handmade piece of art that reflects their style and creativity and ready to hang! Materials and tools are provided.
